InvitationBox.com

Invitationbox.com sells digital and printed invitations and gifts for every occasion imaginable. Responsible for revamping a Flex 3 online card building tool that interfaced w/ a data-driven C sharp backend. Built Actionscript 3 applications to display XML and cookie based dynamic content. Responsible for re-designing large sections of the invitationbox.com's website using Javascript, css, and JQuery.

Concierge Solutions/AV-Integration

AV-Integration was a Control4 dealer turned software developer company for Control4 platforms. I built object oriented Actionscript 2.0 applications for the Control4 embedded systems platform. I assisted in designing, authoring, testing, and documenting an Actionscript 2.0 SDK which was modeled after the iPhone SDK. After the SDK was completed, I authored a wide range of applications using this SDK and also assisted in building new SDK components. I also built a content management system using PHP, MYSQL, Javascript, JQuery, and Actionscript that interfaces with the many Social Media apps (Facebook, Twitter, eBay, iPhone, Google Calender, ect).
Populations targeted: Control 4 Application Developers.

Encounter Program

This was my main project I built and maintained during my 3 years at People Designs. It is a training program used by a large researching team at the Duke VA hospital to train doctors in bettering their communication techniques with terminal patients.
Issues addressed: Doctor-patient communication at the end of life.
Populations targeted: Oncologists.
Program Goals: Improve communication skills of doctors in palliative care situations.
Study training Methods: Tailored interactive CD. Internet-based audio review and coding application.
Clients: Duke University Medical Center, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Durham, NC and Pittsburgh, PA Veterans Administration Hospitals.
This project was built using PHP, MYSQL, PERL, Flash, Actionscript 2.0, AMFPHP Remoting, XML, Javascript, and CSS
I designed all the graphics in this program using Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Hometown Rent Website Version 2

I was the developer of this version of Hometownrent.com and I managed 2 QA testers throughout the development process.
I redesigned version 1 of the hometownrent.com site using PHP, PERL, MYSQL, HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, ACCESS, POSTGRESS, and JAVASCRIPT..
Database Maintenance - redesigned the table structures and wrote the importing scripts to convert the data from access format to MYSQL format.
Customer Support - Managed user accounts and assisted w/ all maintenance and technical support questions.
Graphic Design - redesigned graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks.
Designed all form templates using Dreamweaver, HTML, and CSS
